“Ar pasaules pieredzi Latvijā” joined the Latvian Civic Alliance on 5 October 2023.

Miks Muižarājs, Chairman of the Board of the Association, commented: “Over the last year, we as an organisation have significantly expanded our participation in various consultative mechanisms in Latvia. We continue to promote the involvement of people with global experience and knowledge transfer in the development of various fields. We have appreciated the role of the Latvian Civic Alliance in the development of the non-governmental sector and are delighted to join this powerful network of organisations to actively participate in the development of Latvian democracy.”

The Latvian Civic Alliance is the largest umbrella organisation for the non-governmental sector, which aims to strengthen civil society in Latvia, support the common interests of NGOs and create a favourable environment for their activities. The Latvian Civic Alliance brings together more than 140 members, making up a total of approximately 70 000 individuals, or 70% of all NGOs in Latvia, and 27 500 individuals abroad, or 11% of the Latvian diaspora.

The Alliance’s mission is to represent the common interests of civil society, including associations and foundations, based on fundamental democratic freedoms and human rights.
