Great news! Miks Mui\u017ear\u0101js, chairman of the board of \u201cAr pasaules pieredzi Latvij\u0101\u201d, has been re-elected as the vice chair of the Diaspora Advisory Council.<\/p>\n
\u201cOver the years, the Diaspora Advisory Council has become a central place for new ideas and initiatives, which later become laws and affect 450,000 Latvian nationals abroad. I\u2019m grateful for and proud of the support and successful cooperation from diaspora organizations. The diaspora\u2019s contribution to Latvia is becoming more visible over time. This year, the main goal will be to develop the new three-year plan for working with the diaspora\u201d said Mui\u017ear\u0101js.<\/p>\n
The Diaspora Consultative Council is an advisory body which aims to promote the coordinated prioritization, development, implementation, and evalution of diaspora policy.
